In 1994, Steven C. Ward co-launched Get It...Pictures with
President and Creative Director Natalie Barandes. Serving
as Executive Producer, Ward oversees production for all of
the company's projects. Get It...Pictures' client roster includes
many highly rated half-hour television specials such as Comedy
Central's "Reel Comedy" Series ("Bowfinger,"
"Big Daddy," "Shallow Hal", "Bandits,")
and "All Access Pass to the American Comedy Awards,"
Sci Fi Channel's "The Making of Alien: Resurrection,"
"The Making of The Lost World: Jurassic Park" and
"The Making of Star Trek: First Contact."
Currently, Ward is working on Comedy Central's "Reel
Comedy" shows with Barandes. He is also creating ideas
for other networks. Along with television material, Ward and
Barandes are looking at feature properties to develop.
Ward comes from a diverse background in the entertainment
industry. His career began as a radio announcer for the local
college radio station in Athens, Georgia eventually segueing
into a promotions position at an independent record label
in Chicago. After Chicago, Ward went back to Georgia, this
time with plans to conquer the film world. From his first
production assistant position on the film "Career Opportunities,"
Ward knew immediately that he wanted to pursue a career in
production eventually leading to working as a producer.
As soon as he made the move to Los Angeles, Ward started
working on the production side of such big studio releases
as "Edward Scissorhands," "Arizona Dream,"
and "The Sandlot." Soon after, Ward left the world
of big-budget films and joined the ranks of the independent
film world. He worked as an associate producer, production
manager and casting associate on successful independent films
including Gregg Araki's "The Doom Generation" and
"Performance Anxiety" which took the Critic's Prize
at the Cannes Film Festival. |
