After an exhaustive nationwide search, director Adrian Lyne chose
Dominique Swain at the age of 15 to be the title role in his feature
film "Lolita," opposite Jeremy Irons.
The young actress followed up her debut with a supporting role
in "Face Off," opposite John Travolta and Nicolas Cage,
and "Girl," opposite Selma Blair and Sean Patrick Flannery.
Her other film credits include: "Intern," which debuted
at the Sundance Film Festival; "Mary Jane's Last Dance,"
a murder mystery with Oliver Hudson and Taye Diggs; "Happy
Campers" with Brad Renfro and "Tart," also with Brad
Renfro and Bijou Phillps.
Most recently, Swain completed the college sorority satire "Pumpkin,"
starring Christina Ricci and Brenda Blethyn, which premiered at
this year's Sundance Film Festival, "Dead in the Water"
a thriller set off the coast of Rio de Janeiro and the romantic
drama "Briar Patch."
